Booking your first head spa in Penrith or Plumpton should feel exciting, not confusing. Many of our clients tell us they were unsure what to wear, whether to wash their hair, or how long it all takes. This step-by-step guide answers those questions, so you can arrive calm and simply enjoy it.
Step 1: Choose your studio – Penrith or Plumpton
We have two Western Sydney studios and both offer the full head spa and skin care menu, seven days a week from 8am to 9pm.
- Penrith studio – inside KD Hair at 13/20–24 Castlereagh St, near Penrith RSL. There is a comfortable waiting area, with street and public parking nearby.
- Plumpton studio – a private studio at 9A Pollyplace, close to Blacktown. There is no waiting area, so please arrive on time and park on the spa driveway only.
Prefer to stay home? Our mobile head spa visits homes across Western Sydney.
Step 2: Pick the right treatment for a first visit
If this is your first head spa, we usually recommend Rest & Glow. It is our complete wet head spa in one hour, so you experience every part of the ritual without committing to a longer session. Short on time? The 30-minute Japanese Dry Head Spa is seated and uses no water or oil.
Our first-visit favourite
Rest & Glow · 60 min · $70
Scalp analysis, cleanse, scrub, steam and a long Japanese massage. Available for women and men at both studios.
Step 3: Book online with a $20 deposit
All appointments are booked in advance. When you book online, a $20 deposit secures your time, and the balance is paid at the end of your session by cash, card or mobile payment. If plans change, you can reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice and your deposit moves to the new booking.
When you book, please tell us about any allergies, medical conditions, scalp or skin concerns, or if you are pregnant, so your therapist can adjust the treatment.
Step 4: Before your appointment
- Don’t wash your hair. Coming as you are helps us read your scalp accurately.
- Wear something comfortable. You will lie back on a head spa bed with a towel around your shoulders.
- Remove jewellery such as earrings and necklaces, or leave them at home.
- Leave time afterwards. Your hair will be gently dried but not styled.

Step 5: What happens on the day
Your therapist will welcome you, ask a few quick questions and explain what to expect. During the treatment you can chat or simply close your eyes – most people choose to switch off. The room is warm and quiet, and you are welcome to ask for more or less pressure at any time.
At the end we gently dry your hair. We recommend skipping full blow-drying and heavy styling afterwards so the products keep working, and booking your next visit for two to four weeks later for the best results.
Step 6: Aftercare and your next visit
Drink some water, enjoy the calm, and notice how your scalp feels over the next few days. Many clients return monthly, and some move up to The Signature Touch or The Royal Reset once they know they love it.

Frequently asked questions
Is there parking at the Penrith studio?
Yes – there is street and public parking around Castlereagh St. The studio is inside KD Hair, near Penrith RSL.
Can I bring a friend?
To keep the treatment room calm, only clients receiving a service can enter the treatment area. Friends are welcome to book their own appointment at the same time.
What if I am running late?
Please message us. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean a shorter session or rescheduling, so the next client is not kept waiting.
How do I pay?
A $20 deposit secures your booking online. The balance is paid at the end of your session by cash, card or selected mobile payment platforms.
